What's the Difference Between Four and Two Stroke?

Four stroke means the engine doesn't need to have oil mixed with the petrol, it will have valves inside the engine that produce more power lower down the rev-range, making it substantially quieter than a two stroke. The engine will have its own engine oil like a car with a dipstick. Four-strokes tend to last longer than two strokes, require less maintenance and are less temperamental than two-strokes, which means easier starting, smoother power delivery and little to no sound. It also means you don't have to know anything about quads to use it, simply put unleaded petrol in the tank, push the start button and off you go.
